World Blood Donor Day

Every year on 14th June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day to thank voluntary blood donors for their life-saving contributions.

This year’s campaign, “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood - Save Lives.”, places humanity at the heart of every blood donation. Each donation is a powerful expression of solidarity, compassion and collective responsibility.

Thank you to all of our amazing blood and platelet donors ❤️

GO RED on World Blood Donor Day 2026

Across Ireland, iconic buildings and landmark sites are 'lighting up' red to show their appreciation and support for our generous blood donors.

If you can’t give blood, you can still make an impact by spreading the word about the importance of giving blood and platelets. 🩸
