Information for women living abroad
The information presented here is to inform women living abroad of the Anti-D programmes currently being run by the Irish Blood Transfusion Service. If you are no longer resident in Ireland, but received Anti-D or think you may have received Anti-D between 1 May 1977 and 31 July 1979 or 1 March 1991 and 18 February 1994 in an Irish hospital, and have never tested for Hepatitis C, please do not hesitate to contact the Recipient Tracing Unit for further information. The IBTS is also offering and recommending repeat testing to women who originally tested negative for Hepatitis C, but is now known received infectious or potentially infectious Anti-D. For further information see, Anti-D Reassurance Programme.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will refund any costs incurred in having a screening test with your GP.
