The IBTS offers a number of specialist services to hospitals throughout the country.  These include clinical and diagnostic services, the National Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Reference Laboratory, the Irish Unrelated Bone Marrow Registry and the Tissue Bank.

Irish Unrelated Bone Marrow Registry

Tissue Bank

The IBTS Tissue Bank, an IMB authorised Tissue Establishment, processes or obtains the following tissue types: heart valves, ocular tissue, cord blood and other tissue.

Haemochromatosis

The IBTS runs a limited service for sufferers of Hereditary Haemochromatosi (HH).  Anyone who is interested in learning more about this should in the first instance look at the website for the Irish Haemochromatosis Association.
